FAQs

Q Different sizes of dumpsters available

We have two bin sizes
14 cubic yard
12' long - 7' wide 5'high

20 cubic yard
13' long - 8' wide 6'high

Q Are there any restrictions on what can be put in a dumpster?

NO Hazardous waste
NO Medical waste
NO Dirt, and/or
Concrete.

Q Best practices for filling a dumpster efficiently

NO Overloading the Bin

Please refrain from loading material higher than the top of the bin, it makes it unsafe to transport to the waste diversion site. We can not have stuff falling out of or blowing out for safety reasons. The driver needs to be able to secure the bin and contents on the truck. The drivers have the right to refuse to pick up an unsafe load.

Q How long can I keep a dumpster for?

Need the bin longer? We are always happy to accommodate rental extensions! However, if the driver arrives to pick up the bin and you decide that you are not done with it or the bin is inaccessible to the driver, there is a **Missed Pick Up Fee** of $75 or 1/2 of your delivery cost, whichever is greater. Please try to give 24 hours notice for any scheduling changes.

Q Do I need a permit to rent a dumpster?

You do NOT need a permit to rent a dumpster if it is going to be placed in your driveway. However if there is a Home owners association or a condo board I would advise you check with them first. If the dumpster needs to go on the street or boulevard I would check with local bylaw. And we would need to see such a permit prior to dropping the dumpster.
